Adventures with Ghost
This past week, Ghost and I decided to pack our bags and embark on an exciting adventure, leaving the comforts of Raleigh Durham behind. Now, you must understand that traveling with Ghost is not your average experience. Ghost is not just a dog; he's more like a majestic wolf who decided to take on the form of a canine.
Picture this
a black guy with a wolf-like creature walking through an airport that's predominantly white. Now, I don't have the exact statistics on the black versus white ratio at the airport, but let's just say, we were quite the spectacle. We weren't necessarily the problem, but the questions, oh the questions! And the pictures being snapped left and right, not to mention the comments and the pointing fingers. It was as if people had never seen a duo as striking as us before. "Are you guys from this world?" was the question of the day.
Today, however, we took our adventure to the next level - we went by boat! Now, I know Martin Luther King Jr. didn't say anything about sailing the seas, but he did say, "We must keep moving forward." So, with that in mind, here we are, escaping the norms and cruising the waters, with the wind in our hair and the sun on our faces. Because after all, why fit in when you were born to stand out?
